The XII. district is one of the greenest districts of the city, which is no wonder, as it is located on the heights of the Buda Mountains, full of forests, clearings and super vantage points, among which the Erzsébet Lookout and, of course, the Normafa - where the layering is based! - most liked. In addition to the Svábhegy Astronomical Observatory and the Children's Railway, you will find educational trails, countless turn-of-the-century villas and lots of great places to eat!
Sometimes it's refreshing, sometimes it's soothing - when we want to - to go hiking on the slopes of the Buda Mountains, and if we decide completely spontaneously to walk in nature, we'll get out of the city relatively quickly, even if we use public transport instead of the car. The district is also well-developed in terms of transportation, there are many bus and tram routes in this district. Although if you are visiting Hegyvidék, the tram is a better choice instead of buses, trams 56, 59 and 61 also pass here, but what provides an even more exciting journey is the cogwheel. For those who love heights and don't have space, it's worth trying the Zugliget Gondola, which offers a wonderful panorama of the city and is also a pretty good date option.
