DISTRICT XIII.
The XIII. district today is one of the fastest developing parts of the city.
The district is also well-developed in terms of transportation, and is connected to the city by high-traffic roads such as Váci út - here you will find the majority of Budapest's office buildings -, Róbert Károly körút, Dózsa György út or Szent István körút and Carl Lutz wharf , and we can find busy junctions here, such as Göncz Árpád city center and Lehel tér, all of which have bus and trolley routes.
For many, XIII. district is synonymous with Újlipótváros' modern apartment buildings built in the 1920s and 1930s, and indeed, one of the most beautiful modern buildings in Budapest is located on Pozsonyi út. The Dunapark houses are famous not only for their quality materials, marble staircases and the elegant appearance and lines of the interiors, but also for their royal blue staircases.
Újlipótváros, in addition to its incomparable, unique pulsation, is given its heart-pounding rhythm by Pozsonyi út, the Jewish roots of the district still pervade the everyday life and gastronomy of Újlipócia, where the target audience is basically the discerning and loyal local population. The neighborhood can even be called a paradise for alternative diners.
Budapest XIII. district is a culturally relatively well-equipped part of the capital, so those who live locally and want to have fun don't even have to leave the area - the offer pretty much satisfies all needs. There are many cinemas and theaters in the XIII. district.
