The three-story neoclassical corner house that shaped the character of Pest during the reform era was built by József Hild in 1818 and then renovated for Sándor Wagner in 1840, thus acquiring its present form. József Hild is also credited with landmarks such as St. Stephen's Basilica, Esztergom Basilica, and Gerbeaud House.
The 120-square-meter property is located on the third floor of the building. Thanks to its southern orientation and five large windows, it is bathed in sunlight all day long. Its 3.6-meter ceiling height, excellent layout, and a rare 5-square-meter balcony in Lipótváros make this property truly special. From the balcony, you can enjoy views of the renovated Hild Square and the Chain Bridge.
Due to its layout and division, this apartment can easily be converted into a 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom property.
The property underwent electrical and technical renovations in 2017, during which all electrical wiring was replaced, the parquet floor was refurbished, and the property was air-conditioned.

A magnificent building with an impressive history:
One of Pest's most elegant hotels was the Tigris Hotel designed by József Hild in the 19th century, located at 5 Nádor Street - 10 Mérleg Street in the 5th district. Its café and restaurant were also renowned, and for a time, the editorial office of Pesti Hírlap led by Lajos Kossuth operated in the building. Readings and classical music concerts were also held here for the distinguished, cultured audience. Although the building was significantly renovated in 1901-1902, it is still considered one of József Hild's finest public buildings today.
